This is the core promise of sayless. The personalisation engine that powers your travel recommendations runs entirely on your phone using on-device machine learning. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers, never stored in the cloud by sayless, and never shared with third parties. Ever.
Who we are
sayless is a travel intelligence app developed by Sayless Labs, Inc., a Delaware corporation. Our app helps you discover travel experiences personalised to your unique preferences. You can reach us at hello@sayless.com.
What information we collect
We collect only what we need to provide the service:
- Email address — when you join our waitlist or create an account
- Trip and booking data — flights, hotels, and activities you book through the app
- Usage data — how you interact with the app, which features you use, anonymised analytics
- Location data — only when the app is open and only to show you what's nearby, never stored continuously
What we never collect:
- Your photos or camera roll — photo analysis runs on-device only
- Your contacts
- Browsing history outside the app
- Financial information — payments are processed by Stripe and never touch our servers
How we use your information
- To provide and improve the sayless service
- To personalise your travel recommendations
- To process bookings and communicate booking confirmations
- To send you service updates and, with your consent, relevant travel recommendations
- To understand how people use the app so we can make it better
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising outside the sayless app. Our revenue comes from commissions on bookings you make — not from your personal information.
On-device personalisation
The sayless personalisation engine analyses patterns in your photo library to understand your travel preferences. This analysis happens entirely on your device using Apple's Core ML framework (iOS) or TensorFlow Lite (Android). The results — your preference profile and persona — are stored locally on your device. Only the resulting preference data, not the photos themselves, is used to personalise your recommendations.
You can delete your preference profile at any time from within the app. Deleting your profile removes all locally stored preference data.
Sharing your information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Booking partners — when you make a booking, necessary details are shared with the relevant provider (hotel, airline, activity operator) to fulfil the booking
- Service providers — trusted third parties who help us operate the service (hosting, analytics, payment processing) under strict data protection agreements
- Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users
We never sell your personal information to data brokers, advertisers, or any third party.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time

Cookies and tracking
Our website (sayless.com) uses minimal analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. The waitlist form collects only the email address you provide.
Children's privacy
sayless is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the app. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated.
